DESCRIPTION AND ACTIVITIES

The Apiarian Cooperative was founded in 1988 from the apiarists of wider region of Rahes.
In the mid-1990 decade, with its integration to the Community Initiative Program "LEADER", the building and the devices were completed, in 2001.
The devices of honey extraction from the honeycomb, of standardization, of wax treatment - honeycomb production and of bees' food production, serve today a big number of apiarists of all Ikaria.
Produces honey of most excellent quality because of a big variety of trees and thicket, as pine, heath, emery, thyme and a lot of other species.
